Double Bass Project

I’ve written for a lot of strings, but not the double bass. I will be working with Catalin Rotaru, ASU’s professor of double bass, to write a piece that stems from Romantic opera but uses electronics to create a new and equally beautiful sound world. Deadline: June 1.

I am proud to be working with pianist Kate Christensen on a new work for piano, viola and two female voices. The pianist (Kate) and the violist are doubling as vocalists. I really haven’t written much for the instrument + piano configuration let alone making sure a string player can sing while they are playing… I’m pretty excited. Deadline: April 1

I just completed my first real commercial work for the Brazosport Center for the Arts and Sciences Planetarium. This will accompany a video in the Planetarium lobby.
